Our first impression of the hotel was that it looked much larger and more beautiful than in the pictures. We stayed in the family suite, which is a spacious 50 m², perfect for the three of us. The room offers a stunning view, is clean, modern, and well-designed, with a clever TV partition separating the bed from the sofa bed. The bathroom is also impressive, featuring both a shower and a bathtub. Additionally, the room comes with a refrigerator, which was very convenient. The location is ideal for visiting nearby attractions such as Jökulsárlón Glacier Lagoon and the ice caves. The hotel’s dinner was delicious, though on the pricier side. The only downside was that the room felt too dark, and we had to request additional lamps to brighten it up.

Fosshotel Glacier Lagoon offers luxurious accommodation in Hnappavellir. Guests can enjoy the on-site restaurant and hotel bar. We stayed in a suite. The bed was comfortable and the views are superb.

Laugarfell Accommodation & Hot Springs is located in the Eastern Highlands and is at the border of Vatnajökull National Park. Friendly staff, hot tubs, tasty dinner and breakfast.

I enjoyed living in a home designed by an award winning architect. Beautifully appointed with everything to expect in a luxury home. A short drive to glacier hikes and puffin tour. It was a splurge but worth it.
