I enjoyed living in a home designed by an award winning architect. Beautifully appointed with everything to expect in a luxury home. A short drive to glacier hikes and puffin tour. It was a splurge but worth it.

Fosshotel Glacier Lagoon offers luxurious accommodation in Hnappavellir. Guests can enjoy the on-site restaurant and hotel bar. The design of the hotel when you pull up and see that black wooden siding was stunning. The decor inside impecable. Everything was super stylish. Totally on point.

Glacier World - Hoffell Guesthouse is located in Hoffell. It offers brightly decorated rooms with free WiFi access, and view of mountains. The Route 1 Ring Road is just 3 km away. We ended up getting stranded for a few days due to weather-related road closures and the staff went above and beyond to help us get a room, plan our unexpected extended stay, and understand the road closure process in Iceland. Incredible staff - thank you!

We loved this amazing little cabin at the foothills of the mountains! So peaceful and relaxing. The hot tub was fantastic and had incredible views. Hosts were amazing and had 2 very friendly and playful dogs. Close to a glacier which we managed to have to ourselves after a morning hot tub. Heating and hot water in the cabin was great. Beds very comfy.
