It has a great story, it offers a lot of information not only for the hotel but also the area and interesting facts about Iceland. As we arrived, the woman at the front desk informed us that she has already prepared our breakfast and it is in the fridge in our room. And what a breakfast! It was very diverse and delicious. The room offered a lot of ammenities and a great view. The bathroom was supposed to be shared, but as we were only two couples at the time with two bathrooms on the floor, it felt as if it is just for us. And the bathroom itself was renovated, modern, very warm, clean and had everything you need. The best part was that the hotel was near a beach with a small dock and with almost no lights around we had the most amazing aurora view! I highly recommend this place while travelling around Iceland!

Very beautiful place , the rooms are big and very nice decorated, outside you have a hot tube so you can enjoy the nature in a hot spot . Perfect breakfast . Perfect value of many.

The property was very clean and cozy and had all the cooking essentials. The geothermal hot tub was a bonus :) perfect for a night in!

I felt like it was a special opportunity to see the nature of a lava field, right next to a crater! We watched the sunset from the hot tub and slept so comfortably. It was great for my teens, who each had their own room after a week of much time together! We loved the photos on the walls. The house seems secluded, but is close to the road (but you can’t hear cars) and convenient to many locations. I would live here! Many thanks for the stay.

The best accommodation we had on Iceland. Everything was perfect, very modern cottage! And private hot tub was the best after long days of driving. Totally recommend this place for accommodation 12/10.

Excellent place to stay if you are in the area near Holmavik. The hosts were lovely and available for any questions or issues you may have. Spacious, clean , comfortable, modern. Quiet, peaceful, with scenic views. The hot tub is great, Why pay to go to a geothermal tub, when you have one right here. Highly recommend.

Beautiful spot on sculpture trail at foot of canyon walk and 5 mins drive from Into Glacier meeting point at visitor centre. Comfortable room with en suite. Simon was welcoming and provided evening meals of delicious home made soup followed by a meat and veg course on both nights at no extra charge, He also gave us a good breakfast of porridge and home made waffles and bread , jams etc. We hadn't expected any meals so had taken food with us, which we were able to store in his capacious fridge most of which we donated to Simon's soup pot , as we were nearing the end of our trip. This must be how he feeds everyone without being out of pocket. It was really nice to sit down with other guests and Simon for meals and conversation. His niece was there for one meal too and spoke v. good English so was interesting to talk to.
