We had an absolutely magical time here! It felt like a fairy tale! Beautiful room, and the tub was so nice and relaxing! The hostess was so wonderful, and the breakfast was delicious! We definitely want to come back and stay here again, highly recommended!

Set inside the Matera Sassi UNESCO site, Corte San Pietro is housed in a renovated historical building carved out of stone. It offers rooms with a private entrance and free Wi-Fi throughout. Absolutely everything!! This hotel is simply Devine. It is right in the middle of the old city. We couldn’t have been happier with our accomodation choice. We were also treated to the biggest and most delicious complimentary breakfast. I can’t recommend this accomodation enough! They also provided fantastic maps and recommendations for the city and restaurants to eat including our favourite… Kiev!!

The service was outstanding, the staff incredibly helpful, and the cave pool was just breathtaking—my friend Pete especially loved the statues surrounding it. The togas, rituals, and attention to detail made the whole visit immersive and memorable. I also recommend booking an Ape Car tour through the front desk when you arrive—it’s the perfect way to explore Matera. Plus, if you call ahead, they’ll even arrange a pickup from the bus station, which is really convenient.
