A delightful, tranquil location interrupted only by chimes from the bells from the local church (stops at night!), birdsong and cuckoo calls. Gignese has bars, cafes and restaurants and is within walking distance. Stresa with its lakeside promenades, shops and many restaurants is 15-20 minute drive away.

Also, Davide is always available to assist with you anything you may need. My wife and I had a month’s stay and were extremely pleased with Davide, the apartment and Maccagno!

Location, views, hot tub, breakfast, staff, the room, gardens, balcony, the restaurant.... everything was perfect. Pictures do not do it justice how beautiful the location and gardens are! We had a car which was important - would not want to walk from baveno / stresa without the car - but parking was free and easy to find by the entrance to the property.

Really nicely located, well maintained property. Rooms are spacious, views are amazing, just outside the town of Mergozzo but close enough (10 min walk). Super friendly staff, nothing to dislike!
