We had the Lake View Suite with jacuzzi and it was amazing. Paolo was a fantastic host as was his son who picked us up from the station. Paolo booked us a table for dinner in a local restaurant which was very good, as was the breakfast they served on our terrace.

Located 2 km from Lake Trasimeno, I Capricci Di Merion is an Art Nouveau building in the Umbrian countryside. Very peaceful, interesting interiors, comfortable rooms. We had a minor inconvenience during our stay and the staff resolved it immediately, compensating the discomfort like a proper 5 star hotel!

Locanda Poggioleone is in Pozzuolo, a 10-minute drive from Castiglione del Lago and Lake Trasimeno. It is immersed in nature and offers a garden and an outdoor pool with hot tub. The property was beautiful. The staff were all friendly and efficient. The grounds around the property were lovely to walk around. The pool and spa facilities were well maintained and had such an amazing view. The outdoor seating areas were so comfortable with shaded areas to chill and read. Breakfast had good choice and was in a relaxed setting. Our room was really comfortable with great facilities and a sitting room that we didn't even use as we were on the go so much.

Relais Villa Monte Solare Wellness & SPA is a luxurious 4-star property with beautiful gardens and a panoramic spa with views of the hills. Restaurant Dolium serves specialities of Tuscany and Umbria.... We are already missing this lovely well acquainted villa which is surrounded by complete nature. It is truly a unique and versatile place where rest, relaxation, inspiration and enjoyment are central. A hidden gem which is an ideal place for a luxurious stay out of the hustle and bustle of everyday life. It was very easy to get along to different places along Umbria and nearby towns in Tuscany as well. We really enjoyed the SPA facilities. Great breakfast and dinner at their very own restaurant. Last but not least, the staff are really friendly, helpful and hospitable especially Alessio, Giorgia and Chiara ♥️ Thank you for making it a memorable experience. Arrivederci!

A Slice of Umbrian Paradise – Truly Unforgettable! We had the absolute pleasure of staying just outside Castiglione del Lago in a beautiful two-bedroom apartment that exceeded all expectations. From the moment we arrived, it felt like we had stepped into a private, luxurious resort — but with the warmth and charm of a family-run retreat. The apartment was spotlessly clean, beautifully presented, and came with absolutely everything we needed and more. Every detail had been thoughtfully considered, from the fully equipped kitchen to the cozy furnishings that made it feel like home. The grounds are breathtaking — with flower-lined pathways, a range of charming seating areas (including a Cobana!), and lush gardens that make every corner feel special. Each morning, we were greeted with fresh produce straight from the garden — a magical touch that made every breakfast feel like a dream. The pool area is glorious, with comfortable sun loungers for every guest and views that make it hard to leave. In the evenings, the BBQ area lit with strings of lights becomes a magical space to relax, eat, and enjoy the peaceful Umbrian countryside. A special mention must go to our host, Andreas, and his lovely family — incredibly welcoming and kind, always available but never intrusive. Their care and attention to detail truly elevate the whole experience.

This is by far the most exceptional hotel I have ever stayed at. The rooms were lovely, spacious and comfortable. The pool and jacuzzi were clean and beautiful. The best thing about it however was the host, who was absolutely lovely and treated our children like her own. This is a great property for families because there is so much for kids to do.
