It was a little more difficult to find parking because we were in a large van, but 500 m from the building there is a guarded parking suitable for larger vehicles (but there is also plenty of city parking). Great facility.

I can normally find fault with just about anything - but I'm struggling here. Petronilla is a small boutique hotel in a quiet street close to the centre of the lower town. It is well positioned to walk up to the older, picturesque upper town (or for the funicular). The hotel is well appointed and comfortable - we were upgraded, so all rooms may not be quite as good as ours: spacious, tastefully decorated with a vast bed and equally huge bathroom. The road outside was very quiet at night for a city centre - even on the night Atalanta beat AC Milan. Breakfast was outstanding (I would particularly recommend the cheese omelette). But what really stands out here is the professionalism, friendliness and helpfulness of the staff who were all absolutely outstanding. Many thanks to you all - now where is that sixth star when you need it ?

Hosts were very friendly and available via WhatsApp. Transport from and to Bergamo airport was included in the price.
