My wife and I could see the Concordia Temple from our suite. The Villa Athena Resort has a private entrance to the Valley of the Temples. Hotel is excellent.

This place is a little slice of paradise. What is there not to like? The pool is fantastic. There are lots of lovely little cosy seating areas. There is a frisge with drinks that you can take and pay for when you check out. The owners are there in the mornings. We had breakfast for a small fee and it was out of this world! The absolute very best we have experienced-ever. My only regret is that we only stayed for 2 nights. It would have been better to stay here for longer and use it as a base for outings( or just to stay there-even better). Thankyou!! PS Book a table at restaurant King. That's great too.

We were very well looked after. Nothing was too much trouble and our hosts were charming, even when they had to come back because we couldn’t find the aircon on switch 🙄 The location is perfect and we strolled everywhere, with the car safely tucked away in a garage close by. I’m not one for lengthy reviews, but I think this team deserves a thumbs up. BTW, the breakfast was delicious and plentiful.

Breakfast was lovely - served family style! The property was very peaceful and quiet, with no crowds of people. Loved the pool area with the beautiful green surroundings and stylish sun beds, great place to unwind after a day of exploring. The suite itself was stunning also - super chic, spotless and comfortable! Overall the location was great - short drive to see the ruins and to Agrigento city centre! The only thing that I’d consider a small ‘minus’ is that there is a main road right next to the resort, so when outside by the pool, you can hear the cars pass by - BUT honestly considering how excellent everything else was and the overall value for the money, this didn’t ruin the experience for us! In the suite itself, it was super quiet and you couldn’t hear any noise at all. I would definitely recommend this property and would be happy to come back again! Thank you Krizia and Concetta! ☺️

Borgo delle Pietre is a hidden gem. It is located in the countryside above Porto Empedocle. However, we had no problems in reaching it. Ancient inn for travelers where they could make a stop during their journey. Nowdays it continues the tradition but in a much more fancy way. The owners, Marta and Domenico, gave a second life to the place, rebuilt it from ruins and made this place full of beauty. They welcome the guests by themselves and are very nice people to communicate with. All the team is smiling and so hospitable. The Borgo is a very beautiful and peaceful place. Swimming pool for sunny days and olive grove for some reading. The rooms are made in a rustic style, very elegant, clean and comfortable. Our room had a stunning view of the fields. Inside the room we had a teapot, mini bar and fridge. Wi fi is fast. The bed is super comfy, as well as pillows. And the bed linen is so soft. We slept like angels. Breakfast is great. We were so happy to get eggs, cheeses, avocado and homemade banana bread. After spending sometime in Sicily, we missed a hearty breakfast. Pls also do not miss the opportunity to have a dinner there. Honestly speaking, it was our best meal during our Sicilian trip. Very refined and yet simple. We will definitely come back. Not only because the place is so beautiful and peaceful, but because the hosts treat it with lots of love and care to their guests.

Set in Agrigento, The Valley of the Temples UNESCO World Heritage Site is a 10-minute drive away. Free Wi-Fi is available. Very quiet and comfortable room in the countryside yet so close to the sites. Wonderful breakfast, highlight was the still warm, freshest ricotta!

Featuring a garden with a free outdoor pool, Doric Eco Boutique Resort & Spa is 2 km from the UNESCO-protected Valley of the Temples. The staff was wonderful. They made us feel like VIPs.
