From the first minute they invited us for a tea and we seat with their whole family. I met with their lovely daughters - Hala, Sala and Rahat. I had a rent a car and we go to school with Hala. That was amazing. Hala was super energetic. The room was clean and owners were ready anytime we want. The location is a different topic: from the window we see mountains, village life, donkeys, camels and the traditional lifestyle of Arabic people. However, in the last day my kid go inside the bathroom and closed the door from the inside. Without thinking the owner broke their door and did not want to earn from this. That was absolutely our fault but I had a much more respect towards them for taking care of my kid. Thank you very very much.

Rock Camp has an amazing location, very clean tents and bathrooms, and incredible staff! I have stayed in both the deluxe bubble tents and the standard square tents. These smaller tents are still fantastic with plenty of room and clean bathrooms. They also have a more traditional bedouin look on the inside. Breakfast was solid, and of course there are the pool and jacuzzi. Which are perfect after a day of exploring Petra. Also fantastic rocks to scramble on to see the sunset and even a spectacular little Wadi and some Nabatean hand carved water channels to see behind the camp.

We had a fantastic two-day stay at this hotel. The staff was exceptional, going above and beyond to ensure our comfort not just at the hotel but also by providing helpful information about Petra and the surrounding area. We dined at the hotel restaurant both nights. While the dinner options were somewhat limited, the food was wonderful. Breakfast was a standout experience, offering a wide variety of dishes, more than we could possibly finish. They even accommodated our dietary restrictions seamlessly, ensuring we had everything we needed. Hazem at the front desk, was outstanding, providing his WhatsApp number for any assistance while we were in town. He truly went the extra mile by checking on us that evening and following up with us after we left to ensure we arrived safely at our next destination. His kindness and excellent service made us feel truly welcome and at home. A special mention also goes to Vida at the restaurant. She was so sweet and provided excellent service. Highly recommend this hotel for its warm hospitality and personalized service!

Set in Wadi Musa, in a building dating from the 1800s, The Old Village Hotel & Resort offers an outdoor swimming pool and guestrooms with free WiFi. Love the history—it truly felt like we were staying in a historic village. The views over the village and hills were lovely beautiful sunset. And, while it wasn’t next to Petra, it was only a few minutes drive to the Petra entrance (there have a bus but we didn’t use it since we had a car)
