THE MACHIYA HOTEL TAKAYAMA ligger i Takayama, 7 minutters gang fra Takayama Station. Her er concierge-tjeneste, en have, et fælles opholdsområde samt gratis wi-fi overalt. The hotel is wonderful, the lounge includes a buffet and very cozy spaces to read and relax. There is the possibility to book a private onsen (for an extra fee). The room was clean, spacious, fully equipped and in full japanese style. We highly recommend staying here. Plus, the staff was extremely helpful and kind!

花緑里-Hanamidori-乙原のやど 岐阜下呂温泉郡上飛騨金山湖畔リゾート ligger i Gujo, kun 19 km fra Gero Station. Her er en terrasse, direkte adgang til pisterne og roomservice. Amazing host!! Recommended for perfect experience living in Japanese style homes 🏠 with scenic views of mountains and river. Soothing and relaxing ☺️ Kids loved it👍

Private House HidaTakayama ligger i Takayama, kun 6 minutters gang fra Takayama Station. Her er gratis wi-fi og gratis privat parkering. Lovely apartment in a great location very close to the main shopping and sightseeing areas. The apartment is huge and well stocked with a variety of kitchen appliances so it's possible to cook meals. There's a laundry located off the kitchen and a bathroom with a generous amount of toiletry products located behind that. There's ample heating if needed. Everything was exceptionally clean, well organised and of good quality. There is one huge bedroom upstairs containing 5 beds and a partition blind you can lower if required. There is a toilet upstairs and one downstairs just as you enter the building. Access to the apartment is via a digital lock opened via a code which the host supplies before arrival. I'm usually reluctant to recommend apartments since people have different requirements, likes and dislikes but this place is really lovely and very reasonably priced. I would definitely stay here again if I ever returned to Takayama.

My wife and I stayed there for only one night and it was gorgeous! The hotel is run by a local family which lives in the city for more than 100 years. The ryokan was recently renovated (2y from now) and the rooms are truly impecable, combining comfort with a historical touch. The food service (dinner and breakfast) are unique, with dishes the family collect in the area (they harvest, fish and even hunt the food they serve). The hospitality was also another level. The remarkable example was that we mentioned in the beginning of the stay we were travelling to Japan to our honeymoon and they quietly prepared a mini event during our dinner - they asked our favorite song, which was our mother language and specifically asked if we drank alcohol. During the dinner, they did a small celebration typical in japanese weddings where the couple shares a sake on a red bowl. Thank you Shiroyamakan team! 👏

Auberge Hidanomori blev genåbnet efter renovering i 2022. Det ligger i rolige bakker, 10 minutters kørsel fra JR Takayama Station. Everything was extraordinarily well handled. Dinner and breakfast were phenomenal. The staff was extremely friendly and spoke good english. There is an impressive wine collection and a very knowlegeable owner to cater to your tastes during dinner. The surrounding area is very calm and close to the forest for some serene walking in the morning. Probably the best place i have stayed in my month of traveling in Japan.

The house is fully equipped. We even used the washing machine. Thank you. The host took good care of everything and offer himself to take us to the train station.
