The room was clean, spacious, fully equipped and in full japanese style. We highly recommend staying here. Plus, the staff was extremely helpful and kind!

They really made you feel as if you were a part of their family and took time out of their day to show me around the area and drive me to many different areas all while having really nice conversations.

Shiroyamakan was one of my favorite places during my trip to Japan! conveniently located near the bus station and at the beginning of the Shirakawa, it is a perfect place to start a tour of the city, the Ryokan as well as the room are beautiful and very well maintained, overlooking the river; the food was delicious with a creative selection of local ingredients, highly recommend and hope to return soon! Reopened after renovation in 2022, Auberge Hidanomori is situated in quiet hills, a 10-minute shuttle ride from JR Takayama Station. The property offers free WiFi access in rooms and in public areas including the shared TV lounge and the terrace. The staff is so kind and the place is very serene. We had a good resting time in the very comfortable beds and enjoyed the bath and all the delicious food.

The air-conditioned accommodation is 48 km from Gero Station. The property is non-smoking and is situated 500 metres from Fuji Folk Museum. We loved our stay. Excellent location close to station ;enough space for 5 people , stylish design Staff was excellent, very responsive and hospitable.

We really enjoyed our stay and were amazed by both the kind gestures from our host and the beautiful care that is taken of this home on the hill. There were kind kind touches throughout the guesthouse that we were so appreciative of and the care taken to provide such to guests were so clever and nice. The location is so great for the train station (truly 3 minutes away) and we found a nice restaurant close by on the night we arrived. I would describe the town as sleepy (meaning quiet). The ability to get to the Nakasendo so easily was very much appreciated.

Well built place which is in perfect condition (looks new) and was the cleanest appartement in Japan for us yet. Location close to center. Online checkin worked well and staff was very fast responding to messages. AC in every room.
