We stayed one night during a 2-day trip to bike the Shimanami Kaido. The location was great; beautiful neighborhood of Setoda, close to the port. Close to Kosanji temple and shops & restaurants. The room was really comfortable and roomy for relaxing after a bike ride. Loved the tatami sitting area. The onsen is open for hotel guests after it closes to the public.

The room was very clean, spacious by Japanese standards, and offered serene traditional atmosphere blended seamlessly with modern conforms. There was a terrace with a beautiful view adding on to the comfort of the room. The dinner was traditional Japanese-style and for sure it should not be missed! The multi-course kaiseki meal was beautifully presented and very delicious, including fresh, local, seasonal ingredients. The hotel's location is good for visiting the Itsukushima Torii (Water gate) as it is just one station away from it but at the same time away from the madness of the island.

Ideal position for a short walk to the Peace Park, easy transport by bus or tram from the main railway station. Efficient, friendly staff, good size room. Free drinks for the room one of the nights we stayed. Didn't use the separated male/female bathing option, but this was available for guests. Love the pyjamas left in the room for our use.
