Opened in April 2017, Hakone Kowakien Tenyu offers Japanese-style rooms with tatami flooring, an open-air bath or ceramic open-air hot springs bath made with Shigaraki pottery. Breakfast was super good (variety and quality). All staff was very attentive and caring. Onsen was really nice and relaxing.

From the “welcome cake” to the private onsen, to the futons themselves, we had the best time. I wish we would’ve stayed longer than a day; If we had known how wonderful and beautiful everything would be, we definitely would’ve planned for a longer stay. Dai was an incredible host and so so sweet.

WeBase Kamakura is a resort hotel and restaurant in the ancient capital of Kamakura, one minute from the Shonan sea and one hour from the city. The room was spacious and clean. The toiletries were great too. There were many free lounge activities throughout the day to enjoy. The breakfast was superb!

What a beautiful ryokan in a green oasis! The Japanese style room is very nice. We really had the authentic feeling of Japan. The staff were very friendly. We took the kaiseki dinner and I can only recommend it. What a joy to eat! We booked the private onsen which I would recommend too. During dinner they change the table for the futons to sleep. This was our favourite stay in Japan
