Composed of 2 buildings, The Okura Tokyo boasts a garden and bar. Among the facilities of this property are a restaurant, a 24-hour front desk and room service, along with free WiFi. I loved the staff, always cheerful, professional and willing to help. The breakfast meals were delicious with a wide variety of high quality items. The bar had a great atmosphere where we could entertain friends. Our room was huge and immaculate, well stocked with items to make ourselves at home. Would definitely return to this hotel our next trip to Tokyo.

Opened in April 2017, Hakone Kowakien Tenyu offers Japanese-style rooms with tatami flooring, an open-air bath or ceramic open-air hot springs bath made with Shigaraki pottery. The most incredible stay on our Japan trip. Everything from the staff to the food and onsen facilities were incredible. The staff were so very accomodating, buses come around daily to take guests around hakone sights. My only regret is that we didnt stay long enough.

We loved the staff, kanna made our trip such an amazing memory and we wish her the best as she has been an absolute delight ! We recommend you also take the option to have breakfast and diner included as the experience is very pleasant. Hopefully we can come back soon, in the meanwhile take care Kanna !

The Host of this sweet place is very helpful, friendly and pleasant. It is located in a very nice neighborhood, you will not expect in this large city, tiny houses and gardens, but close to a lot of very good restaurants. Easy to go with the subway. Close to the pulsing shinjuku and Shibuya. Markets close. We had a kitchen with tea and coffee! So nice! Very recommended!!

A lovely and large traditional yet modernised family home, and in a great location for exploring the delights of Lake Ashi... with peerless Mount Fuji views just a few metres away!! The property could easily accommodate a family or small group and is great value, therefore. Don't hesitate with this one, as you won't be disappointed! The only downside is that the local eateries when we visited (early April) close relatively early, though you can stock the fridge etc and you have all the implements you need to cook and eat. Oh yes, I nearly forgot the natural and private hot spring bath - a great bonus!!! A very comfortable and relaxing stay in a quiet and small residential area with a helpful and thoughtful owner.

The host is super nice and helpful. While staying at Mr. Hiro’s place you can feel the real Japan. The whole place was very clean and there was a cozy onsen inside. We highway recommend it!
