The room was very clean, spacious by Japanese standards, and offered serene traditional atmosphere blended seamlessly with modern conforms. There was a terrace with a beautiful view adding on to the comfort of the room. The dinner was traditional Japanese-style and for sure it should not be missed! The multi-course kaiseki meal was beautifully presented and very delicious, including fresh, local, seasonal ingredients. The hotel's location is good for visiting the Itsukushima Torii (Water gate) as it is just one station away from it but at the same time away from the madness of the island.

Comfortable bed, good shower, lovely outdoor bath. Well stocked self service bar. Simple check in at the ryokan down the hill - friendly service, a great dinner and a good breakfast. Just lovely. I would love to stay here for a week or more.

Had a full selection of snacks and drinks for you to use if you would like, without additional charge but only a small donation box if you thought you had too many drinks. Overall the rooms were really tidy, and the hosts offered much more than was necessary and expected. Drinks, appetizers, rides from the train station and back. Would go back to this place if I were again in Miyajima
