Though we were lucky to enjoy the shef's breakfast only, it was an exceptional experience! The rooms are spacial, the springs in the place are well organized, just the deepest recommendations from our side. Good places to eat outside, and even without a transfer a good place to to render about, nice views and close to the craters of the voulcanes and to the zoo that is a dream of every child!

We arrived at Kawazu station and Kenji (?) was there to meet us. When we arrived at the property he took our bags up for us and explained all we needed to know. I think we had an upgrade because the room seemed bigger than the one I booked. The room hadn’t been made up yet as we arrived well before check in. We decided to go and do the 7 waterfalls walk and our host was so kind to drive us there. He explained how to get back on the bus and how much it would be. The room was spacious and the beds were very comfortable. We ended the afternoon by using the hot tub which was great. Bathroom and toilets were spotless. Outside the rooms there is boiling water, coffee making facilities, microwave and a wee stove and sink. There is also a sink for washing your face and cleaning your teeth. Be aware there is nowhere to eat close to the hotel. We were aware of this and brought food in with us. We found a tiny basic bakery just down the road and we bought a couple of flapjack type things for breakfast. This property is such good value and our host was kind and friendly. We have been in Japan for a month and this is one of our best stays. Loved it and would certainly recommend. Excellent value.

They do not speak English but communicate via google translator so this is not an issue. The property looks very unusual, feels like in a fairy tale) there is a private onsen available which we did not use as it was too hot (we were in summer). There is also the possibility to take onsen in the room so we utilised it as a foot onsen which was really appreciated after hikes along the Yogasaki coast. The train station is within 20 mins walk and one can use it to explore the Izu peninsula coast. We had a sea view from our room.
