We never saw any of the staff though, which made the quality of service just that much more impressive. We were the only guests staying here at the time, so we had all facilities to ourselves (an introvert's dream). There were plenty of instructions in english for all the general how-tos, check-in and check-out was easy using the machine. Prepare to face some bugs around the area, we had a few interesting encounters with moths by the entrance. The room itself was equipped with bugspray and deterrents, though we didn't need them as our room was perfectly wildlife free. The bug screen in the private onsen kept the bugs at bay, allowing us to bathe and sleep while enjoying the sounds and smells of the surrounding nature!

We could not surf as there was no wave but you can park your car and use the outside shower until 14:00 after check-out, perfect for a morning session on the last day. Also, the breakfast was delicious (fruit juice, yoghourt, boiled egg and a very good sandwich) : you can have it on the go or eat it in the dining room !

The owners are awesome and really chill, Hana picked us up at the train station and even offered us to take us to the supermarket before going to the house. The house is extra clean, well equipped and super comfy, you could see Fuji from the window. The e-bikes were a must, it let us move around on our own and get to know a lot of fujinomiya, we even crossed paths with wild Tunakis. We definitely had a great time
