The Ritz-Carlton, Nikko features restaurants, fitness centre, a lobby lounge bar and shared lounge in Nikko situated by Lake Chuzenji and overlooking Mount Nantai. We were expecting a fine hotel experience for our trip to Nikko but experienced so much more at the Ritz Carlton. Elevated, serene, beautiful facilities and accommodations along with one superlative food experience, made for one of our favorite stays anywhere, ever. Both of our rooms were wonderful, but the suite was just wonderful. All of the food was very good during our stay, but our omakase experience - our favorite sushi ever and one of our favorite meals ever. (For what it's worth, I have never used 'ever' so often in a review) Consistently friendly, helpful staff as well. This is a unique and special place and I fully expect that we'll retreat here again on future trips to Tokyo.

The villa was spotless, beautifully designed, and fully equipped with thoughtful touches. They even welcomed us with fresh fruits and premium A5 wagyu, which was such a lovely surprise. The BBQ setup had everything we could possibly need from charcoal and safety gloves to multiple types of tongs. The jacuzzi instructions were easy to follow, and the cute bath bombs made the experience extra relaxing. The view was stunning, and the location was very convenient just a short drive from Shinkyo Bridge and other main attractions in Nikko. Truly the best villa I've ever stayed at!

We had a very pleasant stay at this location. Everything you need for a weekend trip to Nikko is provided and the beds are outstandingly comfortable! Also the surrounding is so quiet, we slept very well. It is also very close to the stations which is convenient.
