This is a wonderful retreat with an outstanding Onsen experience (three mixed outside hot spring onsen pools and another one outside onsen for woman only. All have a relaxing waterfall view. We were supplied with Yukata clothing and had delicious Kaiseki meals. On our last morning, without asking for it, we received a continental breakfeast instead of the Japanese one. We participated in a nice star gazing tour and did a great hike to the marshland (about 12 km, 4 hours there and back). We strongly recommend to come for more than one night, as travel there takes almost a day.

Morino Garden is a hidden gem. We stayed in one of the tatami rooms and enjoyed the comfort. The room has a sink, fridge, and microwave, and the shared toilet is barely a step away. (Shower is downstairs, still quite convenient.) But the real charm of Morino Garden is the host. Yuriko went above and beyond for us, offering rides, luggage storage, and even a meal we hadn’t booked. We felt as if we’d been welcomed into a home—as, indeed, we had.

Established in 1666, Honke Bankyu is housed in a registered historical building. The Japanese rooms feature traditional decor, futon bedding and a flat-screen TV. Literally everything. The hotel is an amazing 300+ year old guest house and scenery from the rooms is amazing. This is a must go Onsen Hotel!

Spacious and clean rooms with everything you need for a relaxing and convenient stay. Kids will enjoy the rock climbing facilities and the ladder and stairs to the attic. Other games include Uno, cards, and the tumbling tower. Extra mattresses and blankets are available. Should be quiet after 9 pm. Highly recommended to everyone, especially groups with kids.

Apresentando acomodações com ar condicionado, Kokage Villa Nikko-KVN situa-se em Nikko e dispõe de uma varanda. Everything was absolutely perfect! The villa was spotless, beautifully designed, and fully equipped with thoughtful touches. They even welcomed us with fresh fruits and premium A5 wagyu, which was such a lovely surprise. The BBQ setup had everything we could possibly need from charcoal and safety gloves to multiple types of tongs. The jacuzzi instructions were easy to follow, and the cute bath bombs made the experience extra relaxing. The view was stunning, and the location was very convenient just a short drive from Shinkyo Bridge and other main attractions in Nikko. Truly the best villa I've ever stayed at!

Grate experience in Nikko if you are looking for a bit of a remote area. Beautiful and quiet environment. The Onsen in the hotel is amazing, especially the private one! The food was exceptional, such an experience really recommended to book the dinner plan. Very not touristic in the best way, hart to find in Japan.
