Thank you to the monk staff who were so kind and patient and guided us through meditation custom and practices. Our room included shojin ryori (buddhist vegetarian cuisine) breakfast and dinner which was very balanced and filling. I feel a sense of gratitude and peace coming back to Tokyo. I would like to go every year if I can.

Bed was comfortable, there is a heater to make it comfortable for you. They took the time to show us a great spot for cherry blossom viewing! I definitely stay again, maybe even a night more to enjoy the beautiful countryside.

Located in the sacred Mount Koya area, 高野山 宿坊 桜池院 -Koyasan Shukubo Yochiin- is a historic temple and an accommodation for visitors. The evening meditation, sutra writing, and morning prayer service, were amazing. Talking with the monks was very interesting; about the temple, Buddhism, and their personal experiences. The dinner and breakfast were also great.

Close to the station as well as multiple restaurants. The owner was also very kind and accommodating. I left something in the bathroom after checkout and one of their staff was so kind and came all the way to the station to look for me. Absolutely recommend this place!
