Super lovely host who very kindly helped return a key that we had accidentally kept from the night before in tanabe. His place was very clean, comfortable, and he provided a delicious breakfast and lunch for the kumano.

Thank you to the monk staff who were so kind and patient and guided us through meditation custom and practices. Our room included shojin ryori (buddhist vegetarian cuisine) breakfast and dinner which was very balanced and filling. I feel a sense of gratitude and peace coming back to Tokyo. I would like to go every year if I can.

We took some time to chill at Taka-G with a busy schedule planned. Directions were easy to follow. Taka-G greatest us on arrival. Basic but just what we needed and the room had air-conditioning. We had a fab day at the beach. Taka-G was so kind and even dropped us off at the station. For a chill no frills stay, this is the place.

It was a one-of-a-kind experience and absolutely one of the highlights of our trip to Japan!

Amazing stay for the night before our Kumano Kodo hike! The apartment is beautiful and had everything we could have needed. The staff were so warm and welcoming too, and we were greeted with a delicious breakfast at 6am before we set off. What a great stay!
