Wonderful house, we really liked it. Everything is very clean, the room has everything you need, from air conditioning and towels to a mini fridge. The hosts are very friendly and hospitable people, if necessary, they will help organize trips to local attractions: the house is located close to Sigeriya, Dambulla, Minneriya National Park. I would also like to note the restaurant on the territory - they cook delicious food and it is very cozy. We are glad that we chose this place in Habarana.

He was also genuinely concerned for our safety throughout our stay: while Sri Lanka is a very safe country, his attentiveness was still much appreciated. The food cooked by his wife was amazing—made with quality ingredients, prepared beautifully, and full of bold, authentic flavor. Easily one of the top three meals we had in Sri Lanka. If you're planning a trip to Anuradhapura or Mihintale to explore the sacred Buddhist sites, and you're looking for something authentic and off the tourist trail, stay in Mihintale. It's rich with temples and spiritual atmosphere. Stay at Janaka’s place, ask him for advice, and you won’t be disappointed.

A number of useful services are available: Wi-Fi, tours, airport transfer. The hosts are most helpful and pleasant.

We initially planned to stay for two days, but ended up staying a week. The longer we stayed, the more we enjoyed it—not just the accommodation, but the experiences we had. As nature lovers, we aimed to observe as many animals as possible, and we succeeded 100%. Some of our favorite sightings included giant hornbills, iguana, jardon's nightjar, giant squirrels, paradise flycatchers, pond herons, crocodiles, deer, and elephants. For transportation to Ihala Kottiyaba, there are buses from the new bus station in Anuradhpra at 12:00, 14:30, and 18:00. Alternatively, you can go to the Parasangavewa junction and take a tuk-tuk (or a3-hour walk :). What we loved most: -The friendly and helpful people in the surrounding villages. They will take care of you. -Our host, Muthalif. Everyone in the 20 km area knows him, so you can explore freely and still feel safe. -Great day trips with visits to lakes and forests, and meeting wonderful people. (We ended up at W.N park once,  didnt pay for safari or anything.) -Crocodiles cruising the nearby lake every morning after sunrise. -The delicious dinners. During the hottest hours, we enjoyed relaxing around the house. If you can't sleep in the heat, opt for the AC room.

David runs a very good hotel. He was very welcoming and helpful. My room was excellent with a comfortable bed, very effective aircon and ceiling fan. Good bathroom with reliable hot shower. Everything very clean and secure. TV with Euronews English language channel. Good WiFi. Nice shady upstairs terrace to sit on. Rented a bicycle at the hotel - 1500R per day. A bit pricey because it wasn't a great bike but it helped a lot getting around the ancient city. Hotel in great quiet location just a few minutes walk from the railway station and not far from the ticket office of the Anuradhapura dagobas. Good cheap restaurant on Main Street a few hundred meters away called the Family Bakehouse (head south on Main Street and it's on the other side of the road). Serves very good curries and rice as well as baked goods

Habarana es un pueblo estratégico para visitar todos los puntos importantes( Sigiriya, Dambulla, Polonaruwa y Mineriya)

El Gamodh Citadel Resort está rodeado de templos y ruinas antiguas, y ofrece alojamiento acogedor y confortable junto al jardín o la piscina al aire libre. Staff were so helpful and considerate ,both the manager and the guy who served us at restaurant. They even managed to prepare us breakfast the days that we had to leave before breakfast time. Tours they offer also have the best price. Swimming pool was very beautiful and large. Breakfast is great especially oat pancakes with coconut filling

El White House Hotel está situado en el centro de Mount Pleasant y ofrece agradables vistas a los jardines tropicales. Nos recibieron con un zumo natural. Nos lavaron toda la ropa gratis. (Muy importante si llevas ya tiempo de viaje). Muy original que las habitaciones son personalizadas y todas diferentes. La piscina enorme y refrescante hasta con cascada. (El primer día estaba un poco verde, pero el segundo estaba perfecta). El trato de los trabajadores maravillosos (Sobre todo Arunthathi, Ruwantha, Ruwan, las 2 mujeres de recepción, la chica del desayuno y el señor mayor encargado del restaurante que no me acuerdo de sus nombres). El restaurante con una carta muy buena, completa y a buen precio. El wifi buena conexión. Se tarda poco a las ruinas de Anuradhapura. Es curioso que la TV esté en el baño...
