Everything here is perfect, it was quite possibly the best place we have stayed in Sri Lanka and that includes places like the Heritance Kandalama which was dramatically more expensive. The property: Perfectly manicured and beautiful gardens with flowers everywhere. The building is beautiful with detailed wood finishing on all surfaces except the floor which is covered in beautiful plush carpeting which contributes to reduced noise from people walking around. All guests and staff remove their shoes and wear provided slippers around the property to ensure the floors are nice and clean. There’s also a pool table in the lobby. The room: A+ comfortable bed with down duvet, crisp sheets and more pillows than Martha Stewart would have on her bed - with a variety of thickness and firmness so anyone’s preference will be met. Super clean from top to bottom, excellent bathroom and shower with stone finishing and a jacuzzi tub which we used and it worked well. Television with Comedy Central so that made me happy at night. Clean glasses, coffee, tea, and one of the few rooms in Sri Lanka with a working refrigerator that had a small freezer for ice which was readily available from the hotel. Breakfast: We had the western and it was fantastic. I’m sure the Sri Lankan breakfast would be even better. Too much food though. Location: walking distance to the town center but far enough that it was very quiet at night and minimal tuktuk noise in the morning. Staff: attentive, kind, service oriented and professional - we have found this to be standard throughout Sri Lanka but it was even better here.

The Bellwood Manor was absolutely stunning. We wished we stayed one more night. We for sure will be back.

This is an excellent property, minutes away from the town center but what sets it apart is the attention to detail and great service We stayed in the cabana, a two-storied cottage next to the main building. It’s a lovely place with a sitting area on the ground level and the bedroom upstairs. The photos of the interior on the website show a luxurious, well-fitted space and the place lives up to this in every way. We were here in end November and the Christmas Tree was up adding a festive touch Food is good and plentiful (Tip: Opt for the Sri Lankan curry and rice) and service is outstanding. A special mention here for Avishka who was exceptional

The staff is amazing, very welcoming, hard working, accommodating. Very grateful for our stay earlier this week. The hotel is located in the heart of tea plantations. There is an easy hiking/walking trail through the tea plantations.

The accommodation offers 4-star accommodation with a hot tub. I liked many things about Nuga Retreat. First of all, the beautiful, natural surroundings with mountain views created a unique atmosphere of peace and relaxation. The rooms were comfortable and well-equipped, providing convenience, and the outdoor pool was a great place to unwind. I also really appreciated the friendly and helpful staff who truly made an effort to ensure our stay was enjoyable.

Featuring a private bathroom, units at the chalet complex also boast free WiFi, while certain rooms come with a balcony. Daresh home stay is really wonderful - the rooms are clean, spacious and the balcony of our room overlooked a little stream which meant it was quiet set back from the road. Deva and his family are lovely people - they went above and beyond for us for one of our birthdays and were always checking in if we needed anything else. The food was amazing and they even packed us a delicious breakfast for our early bus the following morning. It’s really accessible by TukTuk to Sri Pada and I couldn’t recommend this place more!
