This was without a doubt the highlight of our two week trip to Sri Lanka. The Safari was brilliant, but nothing beat the welcoming luxurious stay of Leopard Reach. We felt like being on a honeymoon in the wooden decked private hut, all amenities taken care of and we couldn’t decide on taking a hot tub for two in the room or plunge in our private pool on our deck. Decided to do all! The staff (glory to Silva and Krishan, who made us feel so very welcome as if we were visiting friends) was amazing, did delicious barbecues at night and took us on a welcoming walk around the premises and alongside rice fields and adjacent nature and wildlife. Worth every penny and wholeheartedly recommended!

Set in large grounds bordered by wetlands, Eagles Nest Cabanas offers rooms with a terrace. A 3-minute walk from the beach, the property has its own restaurant. We loved swimming in the pool facing a Laguna full of birds, in a wonderfully flowered garden inhabited by the iconic Sri Lankan peacocks!!! It is a very special place, made with a lot of love! Rooms are made with attention and the food is good. We only wish we had stayed more...

The guestroom is on the first floor with an amazing view over the lake and has plenty of space (indoors&outdoors). Everything was very clean (& had AC) and we were taken good care of. Sometimes we were even invited for tea and srilankan sweets! We liked to watch all the different animals from the balkony! There are several restaurants just around the corner which have amazing local food and the prettiest beach is just down the road! Apart from that the price was super fair. We would definitely come back any time! Thank you for the wonderful stay! ☀️

Amazing big breakfast made by the host in the morning, and he also helped me to organize my onward travel! 100% recommend staying here!

Pleasantly surprised as we only paid 100 USD per night, such good value for money! Beautiful huge villas with a full living room which is rare, huge TV, lovely pool and beautifully landscaped property.
