This hotel was a lovely surprise, beautiful, incredible staff, the best food! Especially the breakfast. It's 30 min away from Kandy but the peace, the nature, it's very much appreciated. And it's easy to request a tuk tuk to take you to the city.

Aarunya Nature Resort has free bikes and an outdoor swimming pool in Kandy. The property features a fitness centre, as well as a garden. The accommodation provides a shared lounge and free WiFi. The rooms are amazing and the views are exceptional and will stay with me for a long time. The people working there were lovely and went out of their way to accommodate us. The food was excellent.

The owners and their helper are some of the most hospitable, helpful, and genuinely kind people I have ever met. I stayed with them both before and during the cyclone, and honestly, I don't know how I would have gotten through it without them. Even with no water or electricity, they made sure we had food, clean water, and anything else we needed. They treated every guest like family. Every morning they’d check in with the biggest smiles, always ready to help or share stories. They’re incredibly knowledgeable, so proud of their country, and genuinely interested in every single person who stays with them. At one point they said, “You are all our sons and daughters,” and they meant it. And the home itself? Stunning. I stayed in the deluxe room and felt like an absolute princess. The bed was super comfy, the room was huge and beautifully decorated, and the balcony overlooked jackfruit and coconut trees. The house sits up on a peaceful hill—about a 30-minute walk or a quick 7-minute tuk-tuk to the city centre—and it is so worth it for the quiet and the views. The owners also have great connections and can arrange pretty much anything: transfers, day trips, excursions… they even ordered dinner in for me one night. They make everything so easy. And of course, their angel dog Bella only makes the whole experience sweeter. Despite staying through literally the worst cyclone in Sri Lanka’s recent history, I’m leaving this homestay with such a positive experience — and that is 100% because of the owners and their helper. This place is truly special.

Offering free WiFi and a terrace, Villa Arunalu Kandy is situated in Kandy, 3.1 km from Lakeside Adventist Hospital. Sri Dalada Maligawa is 3.7 km away. Free private parking is available on site. Property had stunning views and excellent food, and the staff really made our stay special.

Green View Holiday Resort has a variety of rooms, each with its own private bathroom. Free WiFi is available in the resort’s common areas. Facilities include an outdoor pool and restaurant. I really liked the environment and how clean the place was. The host was very considerate, even though I first booked the wrong room. There was a big pool and a place for barbecue. There was also a small playground with swings. The owner also has a big German shepherd dog, it's very friendly.

The property was beautiful, it had all the facilities. But what stood was the staff, right from the manager to the caretaker, their hospitality made our stay memorable. Kudos to Mr Janaka for his exceptional service. Highly recommended if you're in Kandy as it is close to everything.

The venue, arrangement, food and hospitality were all top tier. Would definitely recommend to a friend or a colleague to pay a visit to stay here. Mr. Pathirana, the owner warmly welcomed us and briefed us about the facilities and amenities. He recommended us the exceptionally good Pittu (which we claim the best Pittu we ever had) cooked for dinner by his cook, Mr. Chaminda. And he recommended to us their special Kiribath (milk rice) made from a special rice for breakfast. The room was very cozy and had everything we needed. The room had a bathroom and an outdoor shower carved out of a single granite. The backyard of the room was a small hill, grown with flowers and vegetables. On top of the hill (about 25m-50m away from the room), there was a swing decorated with flowers. The dinner and the breakfast were filling and tasty. Mr. Asanka warmly arranged the table for us. After breakfast, Mr. Chaminda walked us to their nearby land to show us their vegetable garden, water lily (Olu) pond and the well next to the Kubuk tree. It was an unforgettable stay for us and we thank Mr. Pathirana, Mr. Chaminda, Mr. Asanka and Mr. Pathirana's wife for that.

Our room had a view of the mountains and we spent hours just soaking in the beauty of the surroundings, amazing pool, and the yummy foods🥰🥰🥰
