This included maintaining the rooms throughout our stay as well as organising cars for us around the country and organising our safari day in Yala. Indika is an exceptional host and did an excellent job on our holiday. - the place is perfectly located, a short walk from the city centre. Room is spacious and Indika makes sure it is clean at all times. Bathroom is lovely. We had the Sri Lankan breakfast every day which was yummy and filling - being so close to the city centre meant it was very easy to organise activities and head out around ella in the day

Speaking German, English, Spanish and Hindi at the reception, staff are ready to help around the clock. We had a great stay at arana. Very relaxing location in the tree tops with stunning views. Rooms were beautiful, great WiFi & included a safe. We did the cooking class, yoga and meditation class and all were great. Breakfast also great. Staff were lovely.

Tranquility Ella offers a hot tub. The area is popular for cycling, and car hire is available at the accommodation. The location is fantastic, and the view you wake up to do actually stays with you. Enjoying breakfast and reading my kindle while overlooking that scenery definitely captured the “tranquility” the name promises. The staff were extremely helpful, courteous, and efficient.

There are lots of nice homestays in Sri Lanka but this has been the greatest of all. Location is great, bit outside of busy Ella but close enough to walk if you don't mind the way. Location is best for nine arch bridge and Adams Peak. Also they can arrange a tuktuk to take you to Ella Rock trail. For the place itself you get your own room with private entrance and bathroom. Both were spotless clean bed was comfy. The best is you also get your own sitting place with a roof in front of the room with a view into the valley. We could just stayed sitting there the whole day. What is absolutely outstanding is the friendliness of the host family, all of them are amazing people and spoiled us with wonderful breakfast, take away when we went on an early hike and showed their garden plants. For us it was the perfect mix between privacy and exchanging and definitely worth a visit

This holiday home with mountain views features tiled floors, 1 bedroom and 1 bathroom with a hot tub, a bath or shower and slippers. Guests can take in the views of the lake from the balcony, which also has outdoor furniture. There is also a seating area and a fireplace. This place is a dream, it felt so calm and serene, incredible view and totally private, with great WiFi and a lovely host who could bring food and drink when needed. It’s a little further out and involved a scooter or grab to get there but it’s worth it for the setting.

À la carte and continental breakfast options with warm dishes, local specialities and pancakes are available. Guests may relax in the on-site lounge, while packed lunches are also available upon request. The exceptional stylish and comfortable accommodation and beautiful gardens complimented the stunning views to Horton Plains NP , Udawalawe reservoir and the south coast . You awake each morning to the sound of birds while during the day it is so peaceful and relaxing . Thankfully no aircon needed here since the very fine insect screens allowed windows to be open to enjoy the fresh mountain air. We stayed in the deluxe suite downstairs which now has an additional dining area , and there are 3 lovely rooms upstairs . See the gorgeous pictures online . You can take a dip in the lovely pool or the owner Munira can suggest and help arrange other activities in the surrounding areas. Having driven for 5 weeks, this was a perfect spot to unwind . It was lovely to chat with Muni who built this wonderful property and all the staff who extended friendly and caring hospitality . Our best stay in Sri Lanka . Thank you Muni!
