A special mention to Mr. Kawindu who was there for us whenever we needed him - he picked and dropped us to and from the pick up spot regardless of the time, was available at the reception and kitchen helping out with everything! What a guy! Also, shout-out to the entire crew managing different parts of the property for making our stay a memorable one. The room we booked was gorgeous, spacious and very comfortable. Opt for the Sri Lankan breakfast option, the fish curry is not to be missed! Can recommend this hotel to anyone looking for a place to stay in Ella!

This included maintaining the rooms throughout our stay as well as organising cars for us around the country and organising our safari day in Yala. Indika is an exceptional host and did an excellent job on our holiday. - the place is perfectly located, a short walk from the city centre. Room is spacious and Indika makes sure it is clean at all times. Bathroom is lovely. We had the Sri Lankan breakfast every day which was yummy and filling - being so close to the city centre meant it was very easy to organise activities and head out around ella in the day

I stayed there 1 night, room is nice and clean, family is super nice and helpful,. Location is not in center but owner takes you from station with a tuktuk for free and can arrange trips with tuktuk . They have a nice garden and share their yummy products they grow with you :)

This holiday home with mountain views features tiled floors, 1 bedroom and 1 bathroom with a hot tub, a bath or shower and slippers. Guests can take in the views of the lake from the balcony, which also has outdoor furniture. There is also a seating area and a fireplace. Very comfortable separate house with a great view and all facilities. It is a perfect place to relax on weekends, enjoy the silence and beautiful nature. The owner is very nice and helpful young lady and she cooked for us tasty breakfasts. We totally felt at home in this place.

Guests may relax in the on-site lounge, while packed lunches are also available upon request. We had the most perfect two nights at Hapu Tales. Muni goes above and beyond as a host, and her team put so much effort into making it a relaxing and comfortable place to stay; every detail has been thought of and the team were so helpful and friendly, we really felt like we were staying with friends. We had all of our meals in and the food was brilliant, authentic Sri Lankan cuisine with lots of flavour. The location is brilliant for exploring the beautiful surrounding sites but definitely make sure you stay long enough to take the time to relax by the pool or on the terrace with the breathtaking views. We stayed two nights and were sad to leave - it’s the perfect place to recharge and relax.

There are very few places that i would 100% recommend to my friends or family. This one leave you in "awww". First - memorable TUK TUK drive to the property where hotel is located. Its the whole experience! The room is so cute and lovely, it feels like home. If you ever had a dream to read from your bedroom and have best view of the world - this is it:) People who run the place - are extremely friendly, helpful, organized. Breakfast was great! The little kitten Rosy - is fantastic too and i hope she is doing well! 💖🙏🏻 I will be back again here, but this time for 3 nights at least. We miss you!

Such a nice hotel, with beautiful garden and pool area. It may be a bit far from Ella centre but nothing a taxi of 20 minutes can't fix. Service was outstanding with special thanks to Sahiru, who has been nothing but helpful and lovely. We hope to come back in the future.
