We've spent a week on the island, in the end of December including Christmas. This was a very good time to visit the resort, as there are a number of festive activities including Santa's visit and presents for kids, Christmas dinner and lunch and some other singing and dancing events. Get a beach villa, as it is closer to restaurant and bar area, has its own beach and small terrace and safer for kids. Very important, villas on north-west side of the island are much better - the beach is bigger, wider, has less sharp corals and most importantly - almost no waves and wind. Other sides of the island are much more windy and the beaches are shallow and surrounded by wave splitters. Villas 415-430 are the best places on the island. Resort is quite new (built in 2022), so everything is looking great, staff is making sure that everything is clean and well-maintained, beaches are all nice and sharp corals are being removed from the sand almost daily. Villas are also looking great, cleaned daily, if needed. The AC is very quiet and keeps the villa as cool as you'd like it to without blowing directly to your neck. Wi-Fi is relatively ok, streaming is blocked, but video calling works effortlessly. Restaurant is spacious, so even though the resort was full we always found a place to sit. Choice of meals is pretty big, separate sections for Indian and International cuisine + an Asian corner with dishes from Maldives, Indonesia, China, etc. Choice of desserts is pretty big as well. Bar area is surprisingly nice, with great pool, big set of sun beds (never had to search for a free one) and a small beach. Bar is serving drinks and cocktails, and you can ask for a cocktails even if it's not on the list of free ones. During evenings the bar area is the usual place for events, live music and overall buzz. Shout to an excellent live band, you are amazing :)! Thanks a ton to all the staff of the hotel and yes, cannot recommend OBLU enough, great holiday!

We walked about a dozen kilometers around the island and each time were fascinated by its beauty. The staff is extremly friendly. Special thanks to Tanu and Shaily for the exceptional service. Delicious variety of food and drinks. Something is even grown locally right on the island. The coral reef is quite good for snorkeling, but more suited for inexperienced observers. There is a variaty of fish, but we did not spot turtles or rays around. For something exotic consider squba diving. However you can observe small sharks by the pier every evening.

Loved the dine-around programme - it’s makes such a change from buffet everyday. Everything included, even the mini bar. Staff were great. Food was the best we’ve had in the Maldives. Comfortable bed. Easy to use app to book the restaurants and order extra towels etc. Rooms and all resort areas were super clean. Transfers were seemless. The sea was a great depth for swimming. The house reef was amazing for snorkeling and diving but the current can get a bit strong later in the afternoon. Can see reef sharks, manta ray, turtles and even dolphins right in the resort.

Everything from the food, to the activities, to the setting were great. From the moment we landed, the hotel was attentive in getting us and bringing us to the island quickly and efficiently. The staff were really friendly and made sure we had everything we needed. Everybody was responsive and we loved all the bars we visited. We loved the activities and snorkeling. The accommodation was incredible and the staff attended to everything we needed.

He absolutely adored her, would run to her if he saw her near by and wouldn’t want to let her go. Would call her name around the resort, and just couldn’t wait to see her. Shrea would also go to the kids club to see him whenever she could, a friendship that was magical to watch! To all the amazing people at the reception, that were always happy, helpful and were super patient, as our toddler would try to get into the back office to say hello to everyone, all the time. Shout to Cynthia, who was another of our son’s favourite ppl! To the two beautiful ladies at the Bageecha restaurant that greet you morning, day and night with the most genuine and warmth of smiles, setting you up to have a great day. To the countless waiters and all round stuff at the restaurant, who are constantly going above and beyond, and were a life saver entertaining our toddler at meal times, and even offered to make different food for him. To the man that looked after our villa’s housekeeping, going above and beyond making sure our villa was clean, comfortable and restocked. To the Araamu spa staff, who run a beautiful spa with super talented masseuses, we had 2 couples massages and are the best we have had to date. Also shout out to the beautiful lady that seats near reception where you can book the spa treatments, always happy, smiling and genuinely interested in knowing how your stay is going. To Joyce, the baby sitter that looked after our toddler a few hours every day, that took him on many buggy rides (a highlight of his trip) and to the entire team at the Wavy Navy kid’s club, my son would literally run from our villa to the kids club, so excited to go there.
