The hotel is situated in a beautiful location, with stunning views of the river and surrounding wilderness. The facilities at the hotel are top-notch, with everything we needed to relax and unwind after a day of outdoor activities. We particularly enjoyed the sauna and hot tub, which were perfect for soothing sore muscles. The food at the hotel was also excellent, with a variety of options for breakfast, lunch, and dinner. We appreciated the effort put into accommodating our dietary needs and preferences. What really set this hotel apart, however, was the attention paid to families with children. The staff were incredibly friendly and patient with our kids, and went above and beyond to make them feel welcome. They provided extra snow suits and boots for the kids, which was very helpful, and even had a special menu with kid-friendly options. Our children loved playing in the snow and exploring the nearby forest, and we felt completely at ease knowing they were safe and happy. Overall, we highly recommend this hotel on the Alta River for anyone looking for a relaxing and memorable getaway in Norway. The staff, facilities, and location are all top-notch, and the attention paid to families with children really made our stay special. We hope to return someday and experience it all again!

There is a fully equipped private bathroom with shower and a hairdryer. It felt like an elite hotel in the Alps. Everything was top quality - food, room, surroundings. Dinner was a piece of art. Comfy slippers helped to enforce the cosy vibes. Plenty of general areas (lounge etc) for pleasant chilling and wonderful views from outside. I visited during the summer and seriously consider coming back during winter.

Staying at Holmen Husky is an experience far away from staying at an ordinary hotel. We want our guests to get closer to nature and to get a taste of what it is like to live close to the elements.

Holmen Husky is a small, family-run business who has been working with dogs since the 80s. Some of us have even grown up in the dogyard and on the sled. It is much more than an activity or an experience that has got us all addicted. it’s a feeling that must be experienced. The challets are fantastic. So cozy and comfortable, and the view on the woods thru those big windows... it's like you sleeping in the nature but in a most comfortable bed. Dogs are nice and the people very open and friendly! I had a very late check-in and they were kind enough to let instructions for me on how to get to my challet, breakfast hours and so on! Definitely a place to visit!

A modern service building is located next door and features showers, changing rooms and a luggage storage room. Sorrisniva also has a sauna and 2 bookable, outdoor hot tubs for warming up and relaxation. We loved our stay in the ice hotel. This year's theme was the greek pantheon and the sculptures were gorgeous. We stayed in a suit, which is well worth the upgrade. We did many hikes in the area and enjoyed our time here immensely. The staff were helpful and friendly, the food was exceptional, and both the main hotel and the ice hotel are stunning. The staff even let us know when northern lights were out! Thank you all for such a memorable stay.

Havøysund was nice and peaceful destination and the road there was well worth choosing this location.
