Everything—from the design to the smallest details—feels thoughtfully created and completely unique. The craftsmanship in the rooms, the locally made furniture, the atmosphere… it’s unlike anything I’ve seen, not just in the area, but anywhere in Europe and UAE. The quality is outstanding. Every corner of the place feels special, and it’s clear that a lot of heart went into building and running it. You can’t compare this to a standard hotel stay—this is an experience. If you choose the Viking experience for dinner, prepare to be surprised. The feeling, the food, the entire setting—it’s something else. The fish dish in particular was incredibly fresh and simply prepared in the best way possible. It lets the flavor speak for itself. The Viking house is truly one of a kind. How can anything compare to that? Olef clearly loves his place and his history. He doesn’t just run the hotel—he lives it. He is a genuine Viking, and it shows in every part of what he’s created here.

Everything was PERFECT! Communication with the owners via BOOKING was fast and very responsive. Peter who showed us the place was nice! House is pristine! Kitchen and the house in general is perfectly equipped for leisure, cooking, laundry, heating etc. The house is beautifuly designed and is very cozy and pleasant. The outside views are fantastic. The island of runde is only 10 minutes drive.

Sara is an excellent and caring host! She gave us great tips on where to shop and what to see, and was always available to answer questions about the house and the surrounding area. Villa Freya is an exeptional holiday home with really everything you need for a relaxing holiday. We stayed there with our children and their partners and felt right at home immediately. The people here were very friendly and they were awesome ! I had a wonderful time here, it was confy, it was fun and a good warm feeling as if you were home. The owners provided with lots of information of the area and ofcourse a lot of entertainment. If I could give an higher rating than 10, I would have given an 11 !!

We asked for an early check in and they were able to accommodate our request. Great communication, quiet serene location with amazing views!
