Beautifully situated by the Geiranger Fjord, Grande Fjord Hotel offers rooms with cable TV and private bathrooms. Most rooms have private balconies with stunning fjord views. The view was gorgeous, as was the balcony. The room was well equipped. The terraces were nice and the breakfast was superb. The staff were very professional and helpful.

This is commonly called a tiny home, new and compact. The mattress is foam and a bit stiff but comfortable. All the windows including the glass door have a blackout roller shade so you can sleep in. There's a double bed for adults and two bunk beds. The bathroom has a stand-up shower, a tiny sink and an incinerator toilet which is very interesting. I think they're planning on changing to a more traditional flush toilet. It's quiet and comfortable. The view is very nice, and the walk around the peninsula is outstanding. Relaxing. Excellent host, very friendly.

Every corner of the place feels special, and it’s clear that a lot of heart went into building and running it. You can’t compare this to a standard hotel stay—this is an experience. If you choose the Viking experience for dinner, prepare to be surprised. The feeling, the food, the entire setting—it’s something else. The fish dish in particular was incredibly fresh and simply prepared in the best way possible. It lets the flavor speak for itself. The Viking house is truly one of a kind. How can anything compare to that? Olef clearly loves his place and his history. He doesn’t just run the hotel—he lives it. He is a genuine Viking, and it shows in every part of what he’s created here.

Villa Freya is an exeptional holiday home with really everything you need for a relaxing holiday. We stayed there with our children and their partners and felt right at home immediately. The moment I walked in, I was welcomed by the inviting and carefully decorated space - every corner felt cozy and full of charm. The hospitality of the hosts, a lovely couple, was outstanding. They prepared both breakfast and dinner, and we shared these meals together, talking and enjoying the food made with love. Their recommendations for hikes and viewpoints helped make my weekend both relaxing and fulfilling.
