We were just overwhelmed by the hospitality we got from Sigurd and Heidi! You can really feel all the hard work that went into building such a unique place and Sigurd has given very interesting insights into the story of Flatheim. We enjoyed a really delicious dinner in a cozy, old hut. Especially all the different tasty local food and drinks were a highlight, and also getting to taste the Viking cheese for breakfast (gamlaost). And on top of that being located in a remote, beautiful landscape.. We couldn't have imagined a better place and would have chosen a longer stay! Located on the south coast of Sotra Island, Panorama Hotell & Resort offers a spa & wellness centre that is open every day , free WiFi and free private parking. All rooms have large windows offering sea or countryside views.

The spa centre includes an outdoor hot tub, sun lounge chairs and sauna. The waters around Sotra provide ideal opportunities for fishing. Bergen city centre is 36 km away. Neat view and surroundings. Spa was not very busy.

The view from the living room is breathtaking, the whole house is full of activities, both adults and kids enjoyed every second of staying there. The host showed excellent hospitality, both before, under and after. We are coming back!

The property is perfectly situated if you’re planning to do the Hornelen via Ferrata which you have a terrific view of from the bedroom. It’s about a 10-15 minute drive to the start point. Gunnhild and Steffen are exceptional hosts. Warm and friendly and helpful with everything. The apartment is wonderfully appointed with everything you might need. The bigger property is fabulous with a lovely spot for BBQs or to take your morning coffee overlooking the water. Don’t worry if the weather is bad (or if the midges are out) - the area has so much to offer. Couldn’t recommend highly enough.
