The hotel is conveniently located close to the airport. We were able to check in early which enabled us to drop our suitcases off before returning our motorhome, which was great. The pool and jacuzzi were fantastic. The hotel restaurant was delicious and affordable. The staff were very helpful, even in the middle of the night. To top it all off, we had to get to the airport at 4 a.m. and the hotel has a complimentary 24/7 airport shuttle available. Fantastic place to stay!

This property was stunning. We used it as a base for snowboarding Ohau and treble cone. The fireplace & hot tub were a massive hit for us after the hill. Star gazing was also impeccable from the back yard! We also checked out the lake nearby (recommended from the host in their welcome book) and had a quick cold water plunge. Whole experience was excellent. Comfy beds. We will be back.

It’s only an hour or so from the outskirts of Christchurch on a Saturday, but feels like a world away from the hustle and bustle. Verity is a self taught artist and her pottery, paintings and the home’s garden sculptures add a unique touch to the beautiful gardens that lead down a steep hill to the sea. Martin is a friendly and dedicated host, who served an incredible breakfast with various choices, filling us up for the day. The room is inside the home and downstairs so you have privacy, a beautiful next door bathroom with bath overlooking the view and small kitchen cupboard with kettle and fridge. I wish I had booked earlier and read sooner that guests can pay for a dinner, as I can imagine how delicious it would be. The interiors are elegant and the birdsong and views of sea and hills are a highlight. We soaked in the spa and enjoyed a nice chat in the upstairs kitchen with the hosts, who provided privacy and conversational entertainment perfectly, depending on your preferences. The road leading to the property is unsealed and rural, but fine for our little 2 wheel drive car, and the entrance is through a wooden gate with a small ceramic sign indicating the bnb.

She was up early to prepare our delicious breakfast in spite of the fact that we had a late arrival the night before when she had waited up for us. Her home was beautiful and immaculate, and every detail had been thought of. If you have an opportunity to stay here, take it! You will not be disappointed.
