Best part was sitting on the back deck enjoying the extraordinary view of the lake after a day out and having a cold refreshment. Will definitely stay at the Retreat when next in Taupo.

We can enjoy the grassland with a lovely dog, chat with Cathy, and use the larger washing room with facilities like those in luxury hotels. Anyway, an unforgettable night at Tamahere for my graduation day!

Heating was adequate as we arrived at the start of winter. It's easy to retrieve the keys to open the gate and door of the property. Do note that you'll need to climb the stairs entrance is on the second floor.

Accacia bay is located 6min drive from Taupo center, it is very quiet and relaxing spot. We had a room with a view on the lake and we could use jacuzzi provided by the host which was great. Room is big , bed very comfortable, big size kitchen and small bathroom however host offered bigger one - for us it was more than enough. Host - Don is very friednly and supportive. If I could I would stay longer.
