We were met by the host on arrival, who was mowing the lawn. Very tranquil location and it was clear not many UK tourists visit Miuzela and the surroundings. Make sure you stock up with cooking/ eating supplies if you arrive at the wekend as not many places are open to shop or eat. Lovely house with excellent garden and pool. Lot's of medieval castles to see within 45 minutes drive along deserted roads. El Contro (bar opposite house0 was very kind to sell us milk and water and a few beers with the locals. If you dont speak Portuguese brush up on your Spanish and French as English is not used much in these parts.Parking is on site and simple.

And Catjia is very sweet in giving tips on where to go. Lovely breakfast and yummy food if you have dinner there in the evenings.

We absolutely loved our stay at Casa da Varzea. From the moment we arrived the service was incredible and we were made to feel like friends coming to visit. We gratefully received an upgrade and the room was fantastic. Very comfy with lots of lovely details, quality linen and beautiful artwork. The whole place has a lovely feel. As for the facilities, they are very impressive. Pool table, BBQs, zip line, bikes, archery, volleyball and of course the lovely pool and spa. It’s got it all! To top it off the breakfast is delicious. We have no doubt the dinner would be too. We would highly recommend and will come back again.

We had a wonderful stay in this beautiful vineyard hotel by the river. The setting is peaceful, surrounded by grapevines, and everything is so well cared for. The design is stylish yet cosy, making it easy to feel at home right away. Everyone on the team was friendly and welcoming, but two people truly deserve a special mention. Yarelis greeted us each morning with her contagious smile, kindness, and genuine care – the perfect start to the day! Daniël was always helpful and making sure everything went smoothly during dinner. Their thoughtfulness made our stay even more memorable. The food was excellent – fresh, creative, and clearly made with love. It’s the kind of place where you feel both relaxed and well looked after. If you get the chance to visit, don’t think twice!

Alfatima ligger i Manteigas og har udsigt til byen, restaurant, en pengeautomat, bar, have, sæsonåben udendørs pool og terrasse. We were the only guests. The host and hostess were very attentive, but not intrusive. Bed was very comfortable. Room good size, excellent temperature control, wardrobe, fridge. Shower was amazing - large, hot and good temperature. Breakfast was exceptional....yoghurt, museli, fruit, cheese, meats, eggs, bacon, cake, coffee, juice... couldn't ask for more.

Refúgio das 3 irmãs - Comfort House ligger ca. 20 km fra Belmonte Calvário Chapel. Her er balkon, kaffemaskine og pooludsigt. Well decorated and equipped. Great response time from hosts. Very quiet and secluded. Great for a few days rest and to disconnect.
