Paraiso Douro offers a hot tub. The setting was like nothing I've experienced before. The view from our balcony of the Duro Valley was like the view from an airplane! The beds were so comfortable! The modern cottage was unique. The pool was clean and beautiful. The complimentary breakfast buffet was superb.

All rooms have access to a balcony with views of the UNESCO's World Heritage Site of Douro Valley and include a private bathroom with a hairdryer. Certain rooms feature a seating area where you can relax, and guests are welcome to use the shared lounge. Very charming, family-run hotel in the hills of the Douro Valley with not only an extraordinary view on the bending river. But most strikingly - the house has personality which obviously reflects the owner’s passion for place, history and intimacy. Vintage items, personal photos here and there makes you feel like staying at a friends’ place who also has lovely recommendations at hand when you look for places to explore. And if you want to just relax and enjoy the view - the hotel’s pool and the surrounding terraces are just perfect to calm down. Moreover: one of us was sick during our stay - and the hosts were super helpful, understanding and supporting, this was extraordinary. Thank you so much!

Guests can also relax in the garden or in the shared lounge area. Wonderful stay in Helena's beautiful home. The house is fab, beautifully appointed and Helena was just a wonderful host. Breakfast was incredible and set us up for the day. Great train connection too from Porto.

Our stay was wonderful – the house felt warm and welcoming from the moment we arrived. The host is incredibly kind and made us feel truly at home. We would love to return and highly recommend this place to anyone looking for a cozy and heartfelt experience

Offering an outdoor pool and hot tub, Douro Suites is situated in Baião in the Norte Region Region, 43 km from Porto. The accommodation boasts a spa bath. Guimarães is 41 km away. Free private parking is available on site. We had the most wonderful suite for our 3 night stay - spacious and beautifully furnished with lots of little extras. And a magnificent view of the Douro River from our room and private, tree shaded patio with a little pool to cool off in. We had picnic baskets delivered to our room for dinner and were happy to spend time in the beautiful space.

Wine tasting was a highlight the lady was lovely and very informative. Evening dinner with wine pairing fantastic and breakfast plentiful and beautifully presented.

Absolutely beautiful, comfortable, with a lot of space in the garden to explore. The facility had everything we needed, also the staff was very attentive and nice. The breakfast was also amazing with a lot of options (not a buffet, but more than enough). Amazing to spend the weekend and relax.

The beds were super comfortable. There is everything in the kitchen you need to create a lovely meal. This was very welcome after weeks of travelling I enjoyed being able to prepare delicious food for my family.
