Wonderful compound - a historical monastery where the original spirit and details are nicely maintained and incorporated. Most impressive was the Church that was still there and active, incorporated in the domain. One of the most beautiful Churches we saw on our trip in Portugal. Nice outside pool area and a little spa and inside pool.

Featuring white-washed Alentejo architecture, Torre de Palma Wine Hotel, Monforte, a Member of Design Hotels offers indoor and outdoor swimming pools, a spa and wellness centre, and a restaurant and... From arrival to departure, the quality of service was impeccable. We were greeted by very knowledgeable and polite staff who gave us a tour of the area, followed by welcome drinks at the top of the building's tower. Our room was spacious, comfortable and sunny. The room, and the whole establishment were very clean and there was bottled water available, mostly for free, everywhere. The food at the restaurant was great, and reasonably priced for the type of establishment. The wine and wine tasting were incredible!

Originally a 14th-century convent, Pousada Mosteiro do Crato has operated as a castle, a palace, and now a modern luxury hotel. It features an outdoor pool with a sun terrace. Wonderful authentic old monastery now a hotel. On site parking. Nice pool.

Fantastic views and a tranquil setting. The hostess is attentive and charming, and delivers a delicious breakfast to the patio. The home made products and fruit from the garden are delicious. All in all, a very pleasant stay.
