Very well located right in the centre of Ponta Delgada and with a private garage (a big bonus in the city!), the stay was very peaceful and relaxing. The apartment was spotless clean and had everything I needed to enjoy a couple of days - the access to the spa was a bonus after a long day exploring the island. The outdoor pool looked great for warmer days. The bed and pillows were the most confortable I have slept in for a long time. The staff was extremely responsive and helpful and the breakfast had a variety of options to choose from. I will definitely come back when in São Miguel!

First and foremost - Claudia is the best host we have ever met! She was so kind, always smiling and taking care of our needs, sending us a long list of recommendations, really caring from the bottom of her heart ❤️ Then, the accomodation looks so much better in real life than in the pics, it was a really nice experience to collect eggs and feed the chickens and talk to Lara the queen of parrots. We also enjoyed the relaxing jacuzzi, and we were even able to use the laundry room free of charge! This is the best place in Sao Miguel we're sure!

We had a unique experience at this hotel. When we arrived to check in, they told us they have had a problem in the system and there was a double booking on the same room and they were full, they had no room for us. However, the manager apologised, and offered us another accommodation in a partner hotel of theirs. Not only the place they found was perfect, but she drove us to the location itself and cared about finding a solution to a problem that can happen to anyone. This whole story shows that I might not know how the hotel is, but I can tell you it’s ran by people with good heart that truly care, and that you cannot find very often.

One of the highlights was the private outdoor space—it offered a perfect blend of relaxation and privacy. The location was also ideal, providing easy access to nearby attractions while still feeling like a secluded retreat. The hospitality was top-notch, with the staff being attentive and always available to ensure we had the best experience. If you're looking for a tranquil getaway with all the comforts of home, Vilas do Olival is the perfect choice. We can’t wait to return!
