Just 5 km from central Strömstad, Daftö Resort offers a summertime theme park with an outdoor pool and children's activity house. Strömstad Golf Club is 8 km away. This place was a very happy surprise in so many ways! We really did not know what to expect from a pirate-themed resort but we had a beautiful and very comfortable room. Mid-week and off-season, we had the whole resort practically to ourselves. It is situated on the water so we enjoyed a morning walk around the property. The breakfast buffet was fabulous! I can't imagine what the resort is like during the summer, it must be crazy busy with the amusement park. But if I lived near, I would definitely take my grandkids for a couple of days.

This hotel is set in a renovated 19th-century farmhouse by Abbekås's Mossbystrand Beach. It offers free Wi-Fi, in-room flat-screen TVs. The location is just great. You can contemplate a beautiful landscape from the window of your room and also while you eat. You'll have the same calming view from the spa. You can relax outside or inside. On the other side of the road, that you won't here from the hotel, is the sea. It's just beautiful and you can have a walk and spend a day there. The food is really good, they have vegan options for breakfast for breakfast and dinner. The staff was very helpful. They have an in-house bakery, so the bread is amazing. A lot of pickled stuff is also homemade, you can really taste the difference. It's an amazing location, you will find peace and will enjoy this experience. They also have a partner hotel, bongska huset, you can also eat there, that was very good and they even picked us up because there were no busses anymore. Thanks again! Some ideas: If you have a reservation from an vegan person, please increase the options, especially the breakfast. Please fix the doors in the separate building, as people just slam them and it's really unpleasant to wake up this way. You have your own soap, shampoo and creme, but you only sell it in big sizes, maybe do some travel kit? 😊 Thanks again for making the stay so special. We will come back
