Meliá Koh Samui is a perfect blend of traditional Thai hospitality and modern architecture that is ideal for romantic getaways and family holidays overlooking the glorious Choeng Mon Beach. The Melia is a fabulous hotel with a great pool and a lovely beach. We were in one of the boat suites directly by the pool which also gave us access to the “level” which was special as it allowed you free snacks, drinks and cocktails throughout the day :-) a great bonus. Hotel is a 10 min ride to Chaweng or the lovely Fisherman’s village so easy access … pool was one of the highlights as were the staff they were all excellent and so friendly - Makham / Candy in the level looked after super well as did Lucy and the front reception team - great service

This is such a peaceful, relaxing spot and the owners, Karine and Cyril, are amazing hosts, warm, helpful, and great craic. I want to clarify something from another review so people don’t miss out on staying here. While I was there, the government briefly cut the water supply one evening (around 5–6pm). Karine and Cyril personally came to explain, and it was resolved within an hour. My shower pressure was perfect, and cleaning is done every second day (though you can ask for daily if you prefer). A real highlight was their weekly dinner, they even got me a veggie burger with proper hand-cut chips, which was such a kind touch. All in all, a lovely place with genuine, sound people. Highly recommend!

When we encountered an issue with the air-conditioning in our original villa, the team promptly upgraded us to a more spacious one, which was a wonderful surprise. One of the highlights was the direct access to the beach via a private staircase from the villa—such a beautiful and convenient touch. Overall, a fantastic stay!

Cosy place in beautiful surroundings. The pool was very welcome in this warm period. Quiet environment where you can just relax. Very good and friendly service from the owner/staff. Tasty food.

It was wonderful to have our own swimming pool and the sea right there. There is also a massage hut available right next to the property wheere you can hear the waves - perfect for relaxing - they are very good, friendly and reasonable prices. Everone were very friendly and June was an absolute star. She organised taxi services, laundry, cleaned and more. I wished we could have stayed here for at least two weeks. It was a great way to start our trip in Thailand. We were able to walk on the beach for miles (especially when low-tide) and there are quite a few restaurants right on the beach. The closest one is the Treehouse - they have excellent food at reasonable prices.
