The place was clean and very quiet (partly because we came at low season, but partly because the hotel has its own beachfront). The staff gave us a friendly welcome and they were very attentive during our stay, always making sure we were comfortable, even chatting and discussing the local culture and customs, so we could have a clue of how people lived in the area. We were the only ones there at the time, so we had the whole place to ourselves, which gave an extra luxurious feeling. The meals were also extraordinary - I booked this site partly because it has its own restaurant and bar, so we didn't have to worry about having a meal any time, but soon we found ourselves comparing each other restaurant and saying that the food was best here. After cleaning the room was decorated with flowers. The wifi was a bit slow, but working well, even in case of an electricity blackout they turned the generator on so we would always have wifi and running water. It was so relaxing to chill on the beach, watching the waves and the local people going about their day, their children playing on the ocean side.

This is my second time in Africa and my experiences were great again.The owner of the hotel arranged all the tours for us. We had great island tours. We swam with dolphins. We visited turtles on prison island. We went to monkey forests. But what impressed me the most was the one-day safari tour. It was a perfect holiday for us. I will send my parents to this hotel next year!!

My personal favourite part was the food, it was terrific. The service was on point, the owners were very generous, genuine, attentive and authentic. We went for a couples' weekend and it was perfect, very calm and relaxing. It is a hotel but we feel at home. The rooms are also very spacious and clean. It is a very calm area so it can play in the hotels' favour or against, depending on what vibes you are looking for. Brand new hotel, the pictures do not lie!

We would come back just to see the manager again!!!

I can't remember the last time I had such a great experience with hotel staff as I had with the Paje Blu staff. They really go above and beyond to make you feel comfortable. It's really about politeness, which I cannot complain about, but more about being humble and trying to create a bond with you that stood out.
