Located in the heart of Waikiki Beach, Oahu, the OUTRIGGER Reef Waikiki Beach Resort features beautifully renovated guestrooms and suites with a modern Hawaiian feel and sweeping ocean views. We were kindly given a free upgrade by this hotel. It was a comfortable stay with a large living room, two bedrooms, and a really large lanai. The lounge was also in a great location.

The property is absolutely wonderful. Nice, natural landscaping that let's you feel immersed in the Hawaiian rainforest. Feels very secluded and private, while also feeling safe and welcoming. Its walking distance to a black sand, clothing optional, beach. I will definitely book here again when visiting the Big Island. I would feel safe here as a solo traveler. Stephen greeted us when we arrived to the property and was so welcoming. I immediately felt at ease in his presence. He gave us a tour and showed us to our rooms, let us know how to reach him if we needed anything. Our smoke alarm was going off one night and he came right over, checked it out and swapped the battery, fixing the problem. I traveled with a friend and we each had separate rooms. The house feels more home like, relaxing front porch, solid wood furniture, and everything you'd need. Both rooms were clean and beds comfortable. At first, I thought my bed may be too soft, but I slept SO good and woke with no pains, feeling refreshed, so it must have been just right. Bath and beach towels were in our rooms, a bathrobe, a list of hosted and local activities we may be interested in, and a little bowl of snacks too. I also appreciated they had sunscreen and bug spray available.

It has a great location, close to the city center and the airport. The rooms are tastefully decorated and cozy. The exceptionally friendly landlord is always available to provide helpful tips on dining and sightseeing. The garden is a well-maintained tropical paradise, and breakfast on the terrace is simply heavenly. Everything is wonderful and invites you to stay longer. Definitely worth a visit! Discover a new chapter in its evolution featuring redesigned rooms and suites, refreshed infinity pools, new dining concepts and more. Service and staff were excellent. The rooms were outstanding. We had one king ocean view with sitting area, sofa bed, kitchenette and washer and dryer. Ocean view was excellent.
