Situated at the base of the wild Tsitsikamma Mountains, The Fernery overlooks an impressive 30-metre waterfall in the Sanddrift River gorge. The location is fabulous, looking over the gorge. The chalets are lovely, great bathroom facilities. Food is very good.

Nova Boutique Hotel was a fantastic stay for my husband and I as we trekked around South Africa. Specifically, my husband planned a lovely adventure around South Africa and he booked Nova as surprise stop along the way! I was thoroughly impressed by our Nova host, Justice, who was extremely welcoming and pleasant. Similarly, the boutique’s accommodations were chic and comfortable. The check-in lobby boasts tall glass windows that lets in beautiful natural light for a relaxing ambiance and the boutique’s overall decor is a tasteful mix of modern-contemporary meets vintage. As a result, our room did not disappoint. Needless to say, we had a great stay at Nova and, with Justice’s helpful dinner recommendations, also enjoyed a splendid dinner at one of the local restaurants. My husband and I agree that we both have “unfinished business” with exploring Port Elizabeth and would definitely rebook Nova upon our return. We emphatically give this business a 10/10 and encourage others to book Nova for a one-of-a-kind experience.

Offering an intimate Big 5 safari experience, Quatermain's 1920's Safari Camp features a boma bonfire and BBQ facilities. It is located in the Amakhala Game Reserve. Our stay at Quatermains was a 10/10. With just 3 tents each 2 beds available, there is a very family like atmosphere. The tens are clean but simple and let you have the real Safari experience. The Rangers David and Johan take you on safari 2 times a day and really take their time to explain, educate and spot all the wildlife. Julie and Rian care for each of the guests and make the stay a long lasting memory. Thank you so much!

Woodall Country House & Spa is a 5-star property offering luxury accommodation and gourmet cuisine in a peaceful location. The guesthouse is close to Addo Elephant Park and Shamwari Game Reserve. We enjoyed our stay here. The whole hotel crew is lovely and attentive. Unfortunately we had cold water in the shower but the manager personally took care of it and within 30 minutes the problem was solved. We were also offered another room as an alternative. The manager is very concerned about his guests. Very nice to see something like this and to feel valued as customer!
