We had a wonderful stay at The Houghton Hotel during our trip to South Africa. The hotel is incredibly modern and stylish, with very spacious rooms. The bed was exceptionally comfortable—exactly what we needed after a long flight. One of the highlights was the breakfast, very tasty and lots of options. The staff were warm and welcoming throughout our stay, and we were especially grateful that they accommodated a very early check-in so we could rest right away. Although we didn’t get a chance to use the hotel’s amenities, we did take a look around and everything—from the pool area to the wellness facilities—looked top-notch and beautifully maintained. Highly recommended for anyone looking for a relaxing, upscale base in Johannesburg.

There seriously is nothing more you could wish for in a place to stay. Staff and owners were welcoming and friendly. In terms of overcoming water and electricity shortages there is nothing they haven't done to manage. Water tanks and battery power supplies mean everything operates in business as usual.

Forum Homini Boutique Hotel is set within a residential wildlife estate, only 13 km outside of Muldersdrift. It offers luxurious cave-style accommodation and a fine dining restaurant. The hotel is in a beautiful location. Saw wildlife every day. Security is excellent. Nothing is a problem for the staff and the food is out of this world. The ‘caves’ are luxurious and have every extra that you would need.
