Rivergate guest farm without doubt exceeded our expectations and I almost don't want to share how good it was and keep it a secret but that wouldn't be fair. The staff were very friendly and they made our stay very welcoming.We stayed in the Gardeners Cottage which sleeps 4 people and its a very spacious cottage and boasts a big outdoor area and even has a hot tub which we used a couple of times even though it was summer. We also made use of the braai facilities a couple of the nights we were there and not to mention the breakfast basket each morning that was full of fresh ingredients and we loved how everything was packaged with the care of the environment in mind. We stayed 3 nights but next time we will be staying longer to spend more time on the farm with the animals and explore more of the farm. If I could give it higher than 10/10 I would.

If you wish to escape the city noise or to just recharge and get some reading/writing done. This is a good spot. Nice walking trails around the area as well. 10/10 for sure

Brand new property with four charming en suite rooms. Every room had a bathtub with an amazing view, separate rain shower, toilet and double faucets. Laurence is a generous and hospitable host. He cooks breakfast whenever you like and helps you with reservations for restaurants in the area. The view from the property is unbeatable; endless sea view with -when lucky- whales, seals and dolphins right in front of you. Closer than when using a booked tour in the nearby town. The fireplace is perfect for colder days and evenings, the smart TV has Netflix included and there are several spots to chill. The heated plunge pool and jacuzzi are out of this world. The cushions in the custom made deck chairs are suuuuper comfy. It is easy to get in touch with the host when you need anything; he’s a WhatsApp message away.

Our host, Alet, could not have been more welcoming or accommodating. He was very friendly and happy to answer our questions and queries. The isolated location was just what we were looking for. The safari tent was well kitted out and the supply of wood perfect for fuelling the braai and hot tub. Alet even gave us fresh dry wood when our pile got very soggy due to torrential rain!
