We booked this hotel, very early in the year, in advance of the Abu Dhabi GP, and honestly admit, we were merely looking at the price and the location (drivable to Yas Island). However, we were delighted with the hotel and staff. We did not use the hotel facilities much, since we were out all day, but the rooms are large and very well kept and the staff is exceptionally kind and professional. We ordered breakfast in our room a few times, and it was delivered hot and there was a large variety of items. Check-in and check-out was a breeze. We always had a friendly face at reception greeting us, or happy to answer any questions. There was a grocery store right next door, for when we needed to buy stuff, and we had no issues with booking taxis to and from the place.

The 4-star Novotel Abu Dhabi Gate hotel is ideally located at the end of the creek between Abu Dhabi Gate City and Bain Al Jessrain in Al Maqta area.

We stayed for a couple of days.The hotel is located close to the airport, it has a couple of super markets and restaurants nearby. It's easy to go to other places (the Uber works well in Abu Dhabi) from the hotel. The staff is very helpful! The check-out works 24/7 (very important if you need leave in the middle of the night).

What I liked about this hotel is details: the mini-fridges given to every guest on the beach, cozy benches with a beautiful view, as well as the availability of the golf cars that can take you to the end of the Shangri La complex - we used the service once to go to the Grandiose supermarket at Al Qana riverside.
