I notice that the staff were down to earth , pleasant and helpful. By the second day I decided I should stay longer. I also liked the complimentary wine which started the evening. The location could not have been better for food and shopping so the lack of on site restaurant didnt matter .

Arrived at the hotel before check in time but the hotel allowed us not only go to our room but also upgraded us to a nicer room. Staff were extremely friendly. Hotel was clean and comfortable. Great location as a less than 20 minute walk from Paddington Station, less than 10 minutes to Hyde park/kensington Gardens and only a few minutes from Queensway & Bayswater Tube stops.

We had a great stay at the J Hotel. The room was clean and the beds were very comfortable. Mohammad greeted us on arrival and was extremely attentive throughout our stay. We were also able to store our bags at the hotel after checkout, which was really convenient. The location is excellent, close to the tube and within walking distance of Kensington and Notting Hill.

The location is very convenient, a short walk to South Kensington tube station and lots of cafes nearby. The staff were OK but there was really friendly guy at reception giving out free chocolates and was sweet with our five year old. We were able to leave our bags in storage as we arrived before check in. It was reasonably priced for London.

The location is fantastic – right on a quiet garden square in Bayswater, just a short walk to Bayswater and Queensway tube stations. It's easy to get anywhere in London, with Hyde Park, Kensington Gardens, and lots of restaurants/shops nearby. For the price, it offered good value as a simple base for sightseeing. The room had the essentials (bed, private bathroom, TV, tea/coffee facilities), and the 24-hour reception was handy. Staff were generally polite and helpful when needed.

- Excellent location, lovely neighborhood, close (less than 10 minutes walking) to Earl's Court and High Street Kensington tube stations. - We appreciate the opportunity to have dinner there and to interact with the students - beautiful common room with piano and board games - For London prices, considering the breakfast+dinner deal, it offers good value for money

My suggestion is to keep away from pubs in the centre of the city since each pint will cost you around 5 pounds. For example , little further like the pub ''The famous 3 kings'' located in Kensington offer good beer for 3,5 pounds for pint.So for 10 pounds you could drink one extra pint which can really make a big difference on how your ''good drunk mood '' can be :) Also try some homemade beers from pubs , they are usually good ( by good i mean they are really easy to drink and they dont have some very specific taste) If you look for something more exotic , you can always ask the barmen. They can be very friendly.
