Iain and Jack were the absolute stars of One Drake Road, and everything was extraordinary, so that’s saying a lot. They are jovial and warm, welcoming and familiar and they gave us the best advice for every facet of our stay. They are the Devon and Cornwall tour guides that we didn’t expect, but certainly needed and we are SO grateful. Every time we would leave or arrive, the boys would pop their heads out of the front door to make sure we were sorted. This is the kind of service you could only expect from the best 5 star hotels. The property was also INCREDIBLE. We didn’t want to leave. It was clean and comfortable and homely, the boys have done an exceptional job on the design. It feels like home, but better decorated. The toiletries were out of this world. I didn’t need to wash my hair, but I did, because smelling like geranium felt like an opportunity I shouldn’t miss out on. We cannot wait to come back. I liked everything about the experience. It was in a beautiful setting, the building was charming and comfortable. The staff were attentive and friendly. The food was divine and incredibly good value.

From the moment we arrived we felt so welcome. The proprietors were very personable and just so easy to chat with. Food was top notch, classic English fare and absolutely delicious, we had dinner there three evenings. Completly cosy and just easy to be there.
