The gardens are one of the best in the UK. So location was fantastic. We had very hot, ample hot water in a deep bath, beds comfortable, nespresso coffee machine and all the staff were lovely. Ideal stay after spending a day in Stourhead. The staff were lovely. The building is very old and is decorated in a tastefully old-fashioned way. We went for an evening stroll past the church and down the road to the open countryside. Staff were friendly, welcoming and went above and beyond to make sure we were happy and had everything we needed including finding secure parking spot for our motorbike and preparing food for us at short notice. The food was exceptional, great quality, locally sourced and generously portioned. Breakfast was included in the price of our stay and so was entry to Stourhead gardens which made the overall price great value for money. Friendly staff were ready to help and made us feel at home. Breakfast was good, the full English (that needed to be ordered the evening before) was decent, plus there was a range of cereals, yogurts etc. We took two rooms for two nights and enjoyed our time at Stourhead immensely, despite more than our fair share of rain!.
