From perfect location, to tasty breakfast, we were very satisfied with this accomodation. The hotel staff was very pleasant and very helpful too. Almost every night, there was a DJ at Lobby bar, so it was very lively there, which, for me, is a plus. The room was on a smaller scale, but it was practical, clean and quiet, with a beautiful view at buildings surrounding our Hotel. We even saw a Tokyo Tower from window. I would book this hotel again.

The whole experience was excellent from start to finish. The location of the hotel was perfect, the service from the staff across the hotel was excellent, and the facilities were better than expected.

Everything about this hotel was exceptionally good. The location is like a small oasis in crowded Shibuya. You only need to walk a few minutes to be at the center of the action. The staff is very courteous and the rooms a very modern. One thing definitely has to be highlighted: The kitchen is absolutely amazing and we want to give a special thanks to the chef Davide who is a amazing person and a phenomenal master of his craft. He understands to make amazing Japanese food but also shows his Italian roots.

I absolutely loved my stay at the 1899 Hotel in Tokyo—this was my third time staying here, and it continues to impress me every visit. The service is exceptional, with the staff making sure you feel welcome and comfortable. The hotel itself is extremely modern, with a minimalist and aesthetically pleasing design that creates such a calming and sophisticated atmosphere. One of my favorite touches is the complimentary tea service during check-in. You can enjoy a delicious matcha accompanied by wagashi (Japanese sweets) to start your stay on the perfect note—it’s such a thoughtful and unique experience. During my stay, I also enjoyed the complimentary breakfast, which offered decent options and added to the overall value of the stay. Another highlight was the green tea-scented amenities, including shampoo, shower gel, and body lotion. Not only did they smell amazing, but they’re also available for purchase at the hotel—a great way to bring a piece of the experience home with you. The location is also very convenient. While “central” in Tokyo is relative, it’s well connected by public transport, making it easy to get around the city. Overall, 1899 Hotel is a fantastic place to stay in Tokyo, blending modern design, thoughtful service, and little luxuries that make it stand out. Highly recommended—I’ll definitely be back again!
